UCFP Leadership

Aytekin Oto, MD, MBA, leads the Faculty Practice ("The Practice") and serves as Chair of the Practice Board. In these roles, Dr. Oto works closely with the Dean of the Biological Sciences Division, the President of the Medical Center, clinical department chairs, clinical faculty, and others to advance UChicago Medicine's missions of patient care, research, and teaching.

He provides leadership of all physician practices, both on campus and in the community. He continues to extend our physician practices in the Chicago area, expand and strengthen our relationships with referring physicians, ensure our clinicians are represented in administrative functions, and facilitate engagement of our faculty practice into other aspects of the institution’s mission.

 

Maryam Saeri is an accomplished mission-oriented healthcare executive with over two decades of senior leadership experience in academic medicine and maternal child health. As CAO, Maryam works with leaders across the faculty practice, university, and health system to enhance financial planning and compensation models, facilitate practice strategy, help drive ambulatory network development, and represent FPP for contracting and value-based practice. She has accountability for effective physician group development, recruitment, strategic planning, revenue cycle, physician compensation and overall physician group operational efficiencies.

 

Danica provides oversight of business initiatives and serves as a liaison between the executive leadership and internal and external stakeholders. She is the secretary to the faculty practice board and co-chairs the Physician Engagement Sub-Committee with Bree Andrews, MD.

 

Roman leads the execution of strategies related to business development, network expansion, and physician workforce planning & recruitment. He co-chairs the Network Development and Strategy Sub-Committee with John Cunningham, MD and Jeff Matthews, MD.

 

Mamoon leads the development, optimization, and management of revenue cycle operations to support enterprise growth. His team leads the Contracts and Population Health Sub-Committee alongside George Weyer, MD and Charleen Dysangco.

 

Matt leads the development and ongoing management of strategies to optimize operational performance and financial results across the faculty practice. He co-chairs the Clinical Practice Sub-Committee alongside Shyam Prabhakaran, MD and the Digital Transformation Sub-Committee with Sachin Shah, MD.

 

Rachel leads the development and management of accounting policies, fiscal controls, and financial reporting. She co-chairs the Clinical Finance Sub-Committee with Everett Vokes, MD and Ernst Lengyel, MD.

 

Andrea supports the UCFP Leadership team, its board, and its sub-committees.
